Frank Lampard and Christine Bleakley

Rumour has it that Chelsea Superstar Frank Lampard has got together with Chrisine Bleakley recently after a string of hot dates. Funny Football would like to say a big well done to Lampard. That is a great effort and im sure all fans will agree, she is very sexy and has an even sexier accent. The sexy ‘One show host’ had recently split from her fiancé Mark Beirne and is said to be smitten with Lamps. Bleakley has even had the seal of approval from Lampards sisters also after a family outing to the Beyonce concert at the O2 arena. Im sure Adrian Chiles is the most jealous man in the world right now!!! Better luck next time Brummie.

Philipp Grothe

Philipp Grothe

Philipp Grothe is the CEO of media rights company Kentaro. They are becoming increasingly known in the world of football and are sure to have a major say in proceedings in the future. This is great news for football worldwide but terrible news for the UK based fans of the premier league. What a history we have and what a game, why change it? One reason and that is money, and it is out of our hands. If rumour is true, talks are already in place to hold a future Carling cup final in the middle east!! Never happen? Thats what I thought and what many people will say, however many businesses work on numbers and as many people they will upset in the UK if this happens, they will earn more fans world wide and more money so they are not bothered!! I think its a horrible prospect and im still convinced it will not happen. However if you look a little deeper into it, you will find that Kentaro already have allot of the big clubs in the Premier league on their books, such as Chelsea, Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal (The Pre season Emirates Cup is thanks to Kentaro). The future could be frustrating for the average football fan in the UK.

Andy Valentine World Record Holder

Andy Valentine World Record Holder

Andy Valentine was a guest on Talk Sport the other week for being a new world record holder. Andy now holds the world record for the most official job rejections for management posts in the world of football. If it is to be believed, Andy has applied for 43 jobs at some of the biggest clubs in football and even the England job. Andy has had replies from all but 3 applications and even a personal letter recently from Sven Goran Eriksson (now the Director of football at Notts County). Well done to Andy and if anybody knows how to contact Andy Valentine, let us know!!! I think this is really funny and we would love to hear from him

What Really Happened with Berti Vogts and Paul Dickov?

bertivolgts

Watching soccer Am a while ago, I seem to remember Paul Dickov being a guest on the famous sofa and talking about his life in football. One of the conversations that struck me was the one about his relationship with Berti Vogts. Dickov was posed a few questions about there fall out and it seemed his reasoning was that Berti played him out of position and later blamed him for poor performance and used him as a scapegoat for a Scotland defeat? I thought, this seems really interesting. Even more so when Dickov went on to say that he was in great goalscoring form for his side at the time, however Vogts played him at right back for some reason, before hauling him off after a torrid first half? Never to play again under this manager Dickov has since built bridges with the boss. I have looked around and cannot really find any record of this. Surely this is just the tip of the iceberg. Dickov, a hard working pro with no reason to make this up. Is Berti Vogts crazy?

Last weeks Friendly in DOHA

Last weeks Friendly in DOHA

So we all watched the game last weekend, where Englands second string were given the run around by the Brazilians. It was an interesting spectacle played out in Doha, the capital of Qatar. Allot of people wonder why it was played there? Well the main reason is because we owe Brazil a friendly from when they helped us christen the marvelous new Wembley Stadium the other year. What I think is the most interesting thing about the game though is that the English FA received around £400,000 for the game as an appearance fee, whereas the Brazilians received in the region of £4,000,000!!! Now that is quite a difference. The game thought to be organised by a company called Kentaro who have had a vision and are making money from it. They are successfully parading the Brazilians around the globe to wherever they can get the best money. England were simply a part of this show, nothing more. Interesting.
