Whilst playing sunday league football about a month ago, i managed to hurt myself as usuall. This time however, it was not the usuall groin strain or muscle aches or knocks that you seem to struggle to shake off more the older you get, it was and injury i firmly believe to be caused by my rubbish football boots. With me not playing as much as i used to i tend not to spend as much on my boots these days and usually settle for a decent value pair that are on offer at the end of the season. Therefore im currently wearing the boots pictured above (not at moment as my foot is knackered). The boots are made by Adidas and this particular pair are called the F50. They do look silly but are actually quite comfy. Anyway, the injury occured whilst going for a 50/50 challenge, i lost out by the narrowest margin and ended up kicking the other players studs!! I have no doubt that this would have hurt what ever pair of boots i wore but my foot went purple and stayed that way for 2 weeks!!! I ve prob fractured my foot or something!!! Looking aroud for some better boots i have found that most boots on the market now are made of the same plastic material and offer little resistance to a stud. Looks like im gonna have to save up for an old pair of Puma Kings.
