It has been ages now since the infamous Liverpool Beach Ball incident against Sunderland. Just thought i would write a quick post to say how funny this was. I think everybody saw the funny side, even the Liverpool fans took it in good spirit and went on to buy loads of beach balls and throw them on the pitch before the next game at home to local rivals Manchester United. I cannot remember another incident since i have been watching the game quite like this. Something happened in the Cup a few years ago in the game between Manchester City and Sheffield United. I think City actually missed out on a goal scoring opportunity as their fans had thrown loads of balloons on the pitch, as they then covered the goal mouth, the ball was deflected off one of these and out of the path of the oncoming city player. How crazy. A good job really in both cases that the team to suffer was the offending team in terms of their fans!!!!
