Ive just been reading up on the MLS happenings and have stumbled accross a fantastic piece of software for the benefit of football fans. The US company ‘Seats3D’ have created a website and a clever tool that allows fans to see a virtual plan of their home stadium. They can have a virtual tour or select an individual seat and see the view from that exact location. Currently there are only a handfull of teams and stadiums in the MLS that are taking advantage of this but i would expect to see this really take off and maybe something that clubs in the UK and Europe could intergrate into their websites for when fans are buying or renewing their season tickets. With the use of Adobe Flash player, the fan is able to see a user friendly stadium guide and make an informed decision on the purchase of their ticket and compare how the views and locations differ in comparison with the cost. Here is the website address http://www.seats3d.com/
